The Top 10 at Greenbriar Market + Refillery — Our Brand Countdown of 2024

The Top 10 at Greenbriar Market + Refillery — Our Brand Countdown of 2024

We’re excited to celebrate the brands that made a big impact last year!

From local gems to innovative products, these 10 brands stole the show at Greenbriar Market in 2024 and are already taking 2025 by storm.

Let's kick off the countdown!

10. Upfront Cosmetics
Upfront Cosmetics takes the number 10 spot with their incredible shampoo and conditioner bars. Each one lasts the equivalent of 2-3 standard-size bottles, helping to cut down on water usage, shopping costs, and single-use plastics. Such a great win for both you and the planet!

9. Routine
We love seeing so many local brands in our top 10, and Routine is no exception. Whether you’re purchasing jars for the first time or coming in repeatedly for refills, it’s amazing to see so many of you supporting this local brand with their natural cream-based deodorant!

8. MTNPK Glassware
Wow! What can I say about MTNPK Glassware? We sold SO many of their stunning glasses featuring mountains from Alberta and BC, and we fielded calls almost every day during December—sometimes multiple times a day—of people coming in specifically for MTNPK. What began with just the Alberta mountains has now expanded to include the entire Canadian collection. Talk about a customer favourite!

7. Tanit
While we sell a variety of products from the Tanit brand, the foaming hand soap tabs and toothpaste tabs were definite fan favourites. We also introduced their natural deodorants halfway through the year, and you all REALLY love them!

6. Laura Drysdale Ceramics
Local ceramics artist Laura Drysdale takes the number 6 spot with her signature mugs and thumbprint tumblers. We couldn’t even keep up with demand this year—her beautiful, handcrafted pieces continue to fly off the shelves!

5. BKind
Taking the number 5 spot, BKind is all about one standout product: their 21-free NAIL POLISH! We carry their full line of colours, and there’s a reason why—it’s a fan favourite for being clean, vibrant, and kind to your nails.

4. Sebeana
Our third brand lands at the number 4 spot! You’ve been all about our cellulose acetate hair clips and combs, wheat straw and silicone scalp massagers—and now, you can check out our new Konjac Body Sponges! While the products under our Sebeana brand can’t be made in Canada (unfortunately), they showcase sustainable alternatives to replace unnecessary petroleum-based products.

3. No Tox Life
Taking the number 3 spot, No Tox Life is our one American brand, owned by a mother-daughter team in Texas. Their eucalyptus shower steamers are actually our number one selling item in the store! With their vegan dish blocks, underarm detox bar, and lip butters all adding to their success, it’s no wonder No Tox Life continues to be a customer favourite.

2. Aspera
It’s amazing that Aspera took the number 2 spot for the year, especially since it didn’t launch until the middle of Q2! Mat and I have loved seeing the skincare line we’ve poured so much of ourselves into come out on top. While the entire Aspera line has done exceptionally well, our Balance + Brighten facial moisturizer and Soften + Smooth B5 and Hyaluronic acid serum really led the charge last year. Be sure to stop by and check out our newest additions to the line including TWO new serums!

1. Ornata
Since our early days as an online store with just six signature scents, Ornata has become a customer favourite in 2024. Vineyard Vibes, reminiscent of brunch at a winery, and Urban Unwind, with its masculine cologne-like fragrance, continue to steal the show. Mat and I just developed three exciting new scents last week—stay tuned for those in the coming months! Plus, you can find our retired scents at the Crossroads location this week for a fantastic 50% off!

That's the list — but that doesn't even scratch the surface of how many amazing local and Canadian brands we feature at Greenbriar Market + Refillery! Come see for yourself — and try something new — at our Crossroads and Montgomery locations.
