Made in Roy Clissold’s home studio in Calgary, this large-scale stained glass snowshoe has two bears worked into the webbing, hand-cut, copper-foiled, and soldered panel by panel. Clissold descends from the Odawa, part of the broader Anishinaabeg peoples, and every piece he makes hangs from a tether beaded in the four medicine wheel colours, black, white, red, and yellow, a quiet thread of that heritage running through the whole collection.
